The Inspiration Behind Ziksun
Music has always been a universal language, a way to express feelings that words often cannot capture. Many of us have an instinctive need to share these musical experiences with others, to let them in on how we’re feeling at any given moment. We often share our favorite songs on social media, but what if there was a dedicated platform designed specifically for this purpose? This idea sparked the creation of Ziksun—a place where people can share their musical moods and connect with others who feel the same.
The Story Behind the Name
The name "Ziksun" carries its own unique journey. During the early stages of development, the search for the perfect name was on—a name that was distinctive, memorable, and available as a .com domain. The usual approach of combining the initial letters of related words had already been done to death, leaving few options that weren’t already taken. A different route was taken—starting from the end of two key words: “music” and “listen.” From "music," came "zik," and from "listen," "sun." When combined, these two parts formed "Ziksun," a name that is as unique as the app itself. To our delight, the domain name was available, and on April 10, 2021, Ziksun was officially born.
Building Ziksun
With the name and vision in place, the focus shifted to turning the idea into reality. It wasn't just about creating an app; it was about building a platform where people could connect through the power of music. The development process was meticulous, with every feature carefully designed to enhance the user experience and fulfill the app's purpose.
The UI/UX design of the website that you are using right now was masterfully crafted by Sonu Buradkar, who brought an intuitive and visually engaging interface to life. This design was then expertly developed into a fully functional website by Sahil Khan, ensuring that the vision of Ziksun was beautifully translated into the online space.
After months of hard work and dedication, the first version of Ziksun was finally ready. In August 2024, we launched the app on the Play Store, marking the beginning of a new way for people to share their musical journeys. This is just the start—our plan is to continuously improve Ziksun based on user feedback, ensuring that it evolves to meet the needs and desires of our growing community.
